Description Sometimes I remember old fairytales, which I read in childhood, and I like to imagine sequels or remixes of this tales. I think you all know "Wizard of Oz" book. In Russia this book was translated and redone, the name of book I read was "Wizard of Emerald City". It has these characters - girl Elly with her dog Toto, Iron Woodcutter, Scarecrow, and chicken-hearted lion. I don't know the names of characters of original "Wizard Oz" book, but I'm sure someone will tell me these names
As you know, all these creatures were "curied", Scarecrow got the brains, Lion become brave, e.t.c.
I imagine about sequel of this book - all these friends in far future.
So, there are a lot of cyborgs in future, and Iron Woodcutter becomes popular because of his "exotic" construction, and he made some "iron upgrades" to be similar looking to many robots around.
Scarecrow with his brain becomes businessman, he founded some kind of corporation, and now just enjoying his life..
Lion becomes fan of Bob Marley and raggae music, he founded new cyber-hippie religion, and many broken robots became his fans.
And Elly - she began to write scenarios for films, dog Toto now her manager

Thanks for reading so big description!
This picture was contributed to Chaos Constructions 2006 demoparty in "handdrawn compo" and ranked 4th.

The Tin Woodman was renamed the Iron Woodcutter because the Russian translator was aware (Unlike L. Frank Baum) that tin doesn't oxodize and rust.

What a great image! Very cool idea and nicely executed. The Wizard of Oz characters, in the English version, are the Cowardly Lion, the Tinman, the Scarecrow, and the girl was named Dorothy. Toto stayed the same. ^^

You did excelent job with metal pieces. I think, in general your drawing technique is hm soft, and that I like the most. What I mean is best represented here by the lion and face of this person in suit, Scarecrow, right?
I hardly remember original names of Oz's character and what was plot about, so here I can't help you

thanks, I see characters are recognizeable, this sounds good for me Woodcutter's metal body was really hard nut, I made 3 or 4 variants of it, and it took about a half time from total painting time.

У вас с xlinx 2 и 3 места были... или ты 2 работы посылал в "ручное рисование"?
