Incorrect. Do your research on gender before you try to take on someone who's actually transgendered about these kinds of things.

Not incorrect. I HAVE done research on what it means to be transgender, and I'm not trying to be disrespectful to transgendered people, I'm no bigot. But the fact of the matter is that a "trap" is defined as anyone who is physically one gender, but dresses/appears as another. Plus, there's the fact that if you'd bothered reading the blog, you'd know Glittershell is uncertain at the moment. Glitter is still trying to decide whether to identify as a boy who dresses like a girl, or as an actual girl. But even if Glitter was definitely certain she's a girl, the fact still stands that she's PHYSICALLY a boy, which means she counts as a trap. No amount of being respectful and understanding towards transgenders can change that. What we ought to do instead of arguing over whether or not this person or that person qualifies as a trap (the term goes both ways, by the way: A girl who looks and dresses like a boy is also a trap) is to try to raise awareness that the term "trap" needn't necessarily be a bad/derogatory word! Perhaps it could even be "taken back" the way homosexuals took back the term "queer." I know that I, for one, never use it in a disrespectful way! ^_^

Well, in case you didn't get the message from my -last- comment. I -MYSELF- am transgendered and I find the term offensive. If you'd like to say your knowledge and research outweighs my actual experience AS a transgendered person, you're even more disrespectful than I believed.
It's offensive -and wrong- to call a pre-op transgendered person a trap for acting like themselves. I know this for a medical, social and PERSONAL fact.
