No word is enough strong to say how much I love those characters :3I think that their creators made a great work about them, because even if they are twins, they chose to not make them look alike, and that's purely perfect !
(I won't hide you that my favorite is Ahito, the one on the left.)
edit : some changes in Thran's arm, I don't know if this is better, but i will continue to change it until that I find the right lines. I'm a perfectionist <_< )

What I have never understood is this: If they indeed are twins, how come Thran is older than Ahito? Because they do call each other big and little brother in the show

Well, this is a good question XD I think that Thran
is maybe 10 minutes older than Ahito or somtething like that,
it often happen with twins... and it's enough to be called
"big brother" I think ^^

Well we don't really know about this ^^ Their is just
some hints like theirs physics, theirs clothes, and
the scene in the season 3 where the Snowkids are training
stuck to one of their team-mate and Ahito says "haha you're
funny with your twins" (mays it's a reference to him and his brother...
And, if you look at every "football" shows, you can see that
most of them have twins in theirs teams :3
