Description

Here's a brief synopsis of the plot:

The Dark Earth (yaoi/slash, paranormal, mystery, horror):

Aidan Walsh, his little sister, Sarah, and their mother, Anna, are forced to move back into Anna's family home in Devil's Ridge with her father, Patrick, due to money troubles after a messy divorce. Only things are much more uncomfortable than one would expect from merely moving into a relative's home.

Aidan discovers that Grandfather Patrick is the leader of a strange religious group known only as the Clan. The Clan has a long-going feud with another group of locals known as the Sidhe. Problem is that Aidan's real parents were Sidhe. Aidan soon finds himself the brunt of Patrick's hatred and, more disturbingly, his hideous lust.

During the first hour of being on the Ridge, Aidan comes into contact with a Sidhe named Asher Vane. Vane saves Aidan from being taken by something terrible in a well on the Walsh property. Vane immediately recognizes Aidan as a fellow Sidhe and determines to bring him back home. Aidan resists Vane's attempts to make him leave his adopted mother and sister to their fate at the hands of the brutal Patrick, even as Aidan finds himself falling deeply in love with Vane.

Aidan begins to suspect that there is much more to both the Clan and the Sidhe then two groups of people opposed to one another. He discovers to his horror that the Clan worships a dark force that resides deep within the Earth, but even more disturbing, he finds that the Sidhe are not the benevolent beings he had thought they were. When it becomes clear that the Clan is determined to raise their dark god to the surface to take over the world, Aidan valiantly seeks to enlist the Sidhe to stop it and save the human race. But will the Sidhe respond to an orphan's call?
