I believe that's Blizzard Buffalo, right? I think Chill Penguin was also in Frost Walrus' stage somewhere too... Damn, just looking at this makes me want to play X4 again! Awesome job! But do you really think X would reach out towards a Maverick he defeated long past?

Yes, it is. Chill Penguin was there as well.
I think it's important to remember that nearly all of these mavericks were people he worked alongside or knew before they went maverick. X is also compassionate and does not wish for violence to be the answer. This, however, is also my own self-projection based on how I first felt when I saw these reploids in the snow. I had killed them, but I still felt for them and how they had been left as corpses in a frozen wasteland.

I feel ya. I don't know why I forgot most Mavericks used to be Maverick Hunters at one point or another and worked alongside X and Zero. It's a very solemn and deep piece of art. You really captured the emotion on X's face. Once again, amazing work!

If one read the X manga, it's doubly sad considering X saved Buffalo from the Virus (along with Tiger, Hornet, Rhino and Catfish), and Walrus kills Buffalo when he helped X and the Hunters try to capture Walrus.
