I'm not kidding either. The lions took down the buffalo, stuffed themselves--we stuck around to get a lot of great photos and knew that little action would follow. The lions would sleep when done so we headed back to camp. When we came back out on the afternoon drive later that night the buffalo that was alive and running earlier, was now nothing but bones. That was one of the weirdest things to get over seeing the carcass simply stripped of everything that made up its living form only twelve hours earlier, maybe less.
