Applestar really, really hates him. But he seems like a sad middle-aged dad who cries into his tequila? Weird.Houndstar doesn't appear in The Dog Star, but you may notice that the lovely Houndheart has been named after him. Ooh, he casts a pathetic, weeping, kind of depressing shadow over the story. Evil, though!!

You know, I think there's something Applestar isn't saying about what happened between her and Houndstar… I think she's guilty of doing something as bad, if not worse than him.
I liked how in starclan leaders didn't keep their rank. They still had their leader names but leaders weren't still held higher than other regular starclan cats, but something with Applestar doesn't sit right.
Also love the fact that Starclan is playing obvious favorites and controlling the clans to get what they want. It plays out very similarly to the books

I'm thinking of adding similar concept to my own in progress comic. Having cats who believing they're higher than others, believing they have the authority to control them, despite the fact they are dead and no longer hold rank, and those who are foolish or naïve enough to believe and follow them
