Since I talked previously talked about My Favorite Godzilla Movies (www.deviantart.com/razorrex/ar… ) I decided to now share My Top 10 Least Favorite Godzilla Movies. Yeah, this is going to be fun. Before I start I would like to make a few things clear: I don't actually hate most of the films here on this list, in fact most of them are just the films that I didn't enjoy as much. I would also like to say that if you like any of these films that's great! Anyway here's my list.

#10. Godzilla vs. Hedorah (1971)
Like I said before I actually don't actually hate most of films on this list and for the most part I enjoyed Godzilla vs. Hedorah. It had an enjoyable psychedelic soundtrack and visuals topped off with an interesting monster. My only gripe is the pacing particularly with the fight scenes. The fight scenes in this movie feel rather drawn out especially in the final battle. But with that being said I enjoyed this film for the most part.

#9. Godzilla vs. Megalon (1973)

This film is widely criticized for how ridiculous it is and Godzilla's cartoonish design. I put it so low on the list because I can actually get a kick out of how silly this film is. Plus Megalon is a monster with a pretty awesome design and you can't go wrong with the Jet Jaguar theme at the end. Plus the Mystery Science Theater 3000 version adds to the hilarious experience.

#8. Godzilla Raids Again (1955)
The first ever Godzilla sequel, Godzilla Raids Again came out a mere 6 months after the release of the original Godzilla. Now I can apericate the deeper meanings this film has as The Omni Viewer pointed out (www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oleasf… ) and Anguirus made his debut. Plus this film had a few entertaining action scenes here and there with some tension. But where this film REALLY suffered was with it's pacing. This film had scenes that really dragged on for too long.

#7. Ebirah, Horror of the Deep/Godzilla Vs. The Sea Monster (1966)
This film was originally meant to be a King Kong film and it really shows: Godzilla acting out of character showing an interest in humans and throwing rocks. Heck Ebirah feels more like a monster that would be better fit to face off against Kong. Not helping is the contrived plot, bland protagonists, and incompetent terrorist organization. But I will say Ebirah's design is good, the film is well paced, and has some nice tropical colors. But other than that there was nothing else this film had to offer. But I will say the Mystery Science Theater 3000 version makes this film more enjoyable.

#6. Godzilla vs. Megaguirus (2000)
I'm with Up From The Depths on this one (www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2GKZR… ). This film had a very been there done that feeling to it from the Hesei era. But that's not to say the film had some merit. The almost horror like scenes, a decent fight at the end, and the great soundtrack by Michiru Ōshima. And of course the hilarious moment of Godzilla body-slamming on Megaguirus. www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBEMKf…

#5. Godzilla (1998)
Believe it or not I actually don't hate the 98 Godzilla as much as most people. The film had some decent practical effects, a solid first act, some nods to The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms (www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8N_BK… ), and Philippe Roaché was a great character. My issues with the film: the pacing in the second and third act. Now I understand the issues with it bearing the name Godzilla as Up From The Depths Pointed out in his retrospect: (www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDs5mJ… ) but at the end of the day the film was just mediocre. Regardless of what one thinks about this movie more good came from it: it introduced people unfamiliar to the IP to the monster, it gave us a pretty awesome animated series, and The Millennium Era.

#4. All Monsters Attack/Godzilla's Revenge (1969)
What hasn't been said about this movie that has already been said? The human villains are bumbling idiots, the stock footage from past movies is really jarring, and Minilla's voice is annoying. MOVING ON!!!

#3. Godzilla: City On The Edge of Battle (2018)
I finally get to talk about the controversial anime trilogy. This film was defiantly a step up from the previous film (more on that film later), it had a few decent action scenes, introduced us to the twins Maina and Miana, and had the interesting idea of becoming monster in order to destroy Godzilla. But then it fell into the same traps as the previous film. Not to mention that Mechagodzilla was TOTALLY wasted in this movie.

#2. Godzilla: Planet of Monsters (2017)
If there is one thing that a Godzilla movie shouldn't be it's boring and my this film was just so boring! Now I am on the side of the fandom that believes humans play a crucial part in films. Sure the human plot lines can drag on for a bit but they lead to SOMETHING! This film led to hardly anything. The exposition was relentless and the characters (especially the lead) were some of the most blandest characters ever.

#1. Godzilla: Planet Eater (2018)
This film has to be one of the most disappointing conclusions in all of fiction history. Godzilla's anti-climatic battle with Ghidorah and the ending was just infuriating! But what makes this film a real special kinda of disappointing is that it at least could have ended this trilogy on a high note. It could have pulled off a Revenge of The Sith but NOPE! All I can say is thank goodness for King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs Kong and Singular Point.
