Description I tried to use a new and more intimidating shade. Turned out real well ^^

I remember the first time I tasted a durian. Didn't really like the creamy texture and it made the whole house smell. Tastes great when frozen though c:

Evo line: Shaduri  >lvl.30>  ???  >lvl. up at night>  ???

???. Shaduri ~ Grass/Ghost (Shadow + Durian)

Species: Odorous Pokemon

Ability: Stench, Cursed Body

Availability: Uncommon

Location: ???

Description: "Despite of their intimidating look, Shaduri are often very timid pokemon. When threatened, it will release a horrifying stench."

Idea: Durians and the smell of something rotting

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Design/Concept: Based on this smelly fruit called a durian en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Durian . It's ghost type because of how people are scared to eat durians due to the horrid smell. They live in deep dark jungles and rumors say that its true body is inside its spiky husk. However, no one really knows if this is true.
Interesting concept for a Ghost type, and I love it. I'm still amazed that you've created it with colour pencils, the texture and blending is just so smooth. How big do you draw the original to get that completeness?! Also, do you then scan the drawing up? How do you get a completely white background? When I scan mine up the background white paper has all different shades of white and grey!
Anyways, like it lots, would appreciate any help with the above questions! Thanks
Haha, thanks! ^^
I now use a combination of prisma and crayola colored pencils. I also noticed the difference between them, crayola are harder and fades out through time. Prisma is softer, has great color and does not fade as bad. I draw the original on a regular sheet of white paper. Then I scan and adjust the brightness and contrast setting. I know, you gotta hate that annoying paper background. To get rid of it I crop it in Microsoft paint, open up another paint and paste the cropped one in, and then I adjust the position and background size. After all that I go and use photoshop elements 11 and then I make a new layer. Use the wand tool to make my life easier and clean up the extra white mess.
I know, it's a lot of work but it was way harder to get rid of the white paper bg when I didn't have photoshop elements. If you don't have that program, you will have to paint dump it black and painstakingly clean the extra white parts with an eraser tool on paint. Then paint dump it back to white.
Phew, that was a LOT. Hope it helps
Thanks for the detailed reply! Yeah, I really need to face my fear of learning how to use photoshop. I'm sure it'll make my life a lot easier. I may also look at different coloured pencils, I'm using cheapish ones from WHSmith! But until I get some time off to learn photoshop, I'll just have to put up with the grey-y background for a while longer!
But thanks again. I will keep this info!
Colored pencils are great you should try them. I also agree with you that the atmospheric shade made it tons better.
