This was done for my illustration class. Our assignment was to create an illustration that could be sold as merchandise. Some people made brooches or painted on skateboards. One girl even painted a whole nightstand.I made this pattern illustrating the original tale of the Little Mermaid. It will be printed on fabric and then sewn into a backpack. It's cool because I could potentially do a whole series of patterns on original fairy tales.
You can't really tell at first, but the pattern repeats!

It is both helpful and amazing that you posted both versions of this and called them Land and Sea. It really helps! Without being able to SEE both versions, it's hard to fully appreciate it all!
