These are perfect! As if you went inside my heart and mind to find the way I wished them made Because this... Fulfills my expectations and wishes for this commission in every way and more.
Their message is clear, each element being represented so well. You can clearly tell they belong together and every one of them have so nice details to make them all my favourites.
Fire looks to be about to immolate itself in flames; colours, motion and a near tangible energy flowing through the wires, the jasper burning red hot. Is it just me or can one feel muscles rippling with the inherent energy and expectant release? Fascinating to watch and the element of our most primal dreams, carrying the initiative and sensation to set our passions in motion. Though, caution be advised - flames blaze hot and will not hold back unless you do..
Earth with its stability and symmetry; a low point of gravity to show none can force it from its steady pose and a network of elegant force because really that's how the earth keeps from shattering - everything being linked. For with every crossing of two paths, there are new ways of solving things, always at least meeting by threes. And as with most there is strength in numbers - as with earth, never-ending fortitude.
Growth holds no borders, and will not see itself spiraled in. Ignite the spark and you can but see it reach new heights. Its organic, plantlike look and sensation shows that the natural world understand growth the best - needing no order it grows wild upwards in all directions and roots itself deep beyond what we can see. However, the symmetry you lent it proves we (humans) are catching on. Like a crystal ball on its rest, it shows that with insight, belief and careful thought we can grow as well.
Water sets itself as an eyecatcher much as it always does. Rolling waves, a myriad of surfaces, calm or stormy, gentle as the kindest touch but forceful beyond our powers. A mirrorscape that sets the scene to reflect the constellations - catching our attention like nothing else and taking our consciousness to a new depth of existance. Looking close, maybe we can even see other worlds and visit those.
Air, the invisible all-mover and pathfinder. None being as dynamic and impulsive as the winds of the world. Always in motion, however still. It never rests, never gives quarter. Whether a slight gale or a hurricane force, the winds show direction to those willing to find their way. Like ships, like dreamers; there is no-one moving as fast and well as those with wind in their sails. A blessed companion, for the winds of passion grow eager when confronted with obstacles, blowing stronger and adapting all the way. For some, the winds bring change; while for those daring to fly great development awaits.
I will be proud to wear these! You did a really good job my friend.
I'm happy beyond measure for the effort you put into making these and honoured being able to carry your craft with me.

I'm not sure what the color process is, but it doesn't seem to be paint or a plastic coating, because it doesn't scratch off the way those do. (It's a wonderful thing, because usually when I work with paint-colored wire, I scratch off half the color in the process of wiring.) Aluminum tends to have a bit of a matte appearance unless it's scratched or polished, it's nifty. It's also not nearly as stiff as copper or steel, so when I use aluminum, I tend to use steel to support it and hold it in place.

wonderful! i like the way that they all have the swirls-you can tell they are a set. the one that doesn't have the wrapped circle is growth right? that and earth kinda mixed me up. but the wrapped ones are elements, so they look even more alike!

i understand what you mean about earth being hard to represent. i was also wondering.... is there an element for plants or living things? we have water, wind, fire and earth, so why not? not that i have any clue what it would look like or anyhting, i was just wondering...

I think the Chinese include 'wood'. In this set, it's Growth, because it's such a forgotten one so often. In my Amulet of Growth deviation, one character explained that a dying Dryad needed Growth, because without Growth, Water and Earth (which plants also need) just become mud and will bog the Dryad down.
The idea of life as an element is nifty, but in my mind I can see at least a few more basic forces I can break it into, like Growth, Decay, Consciousness (not necessarily thought, but even single-celled organisms will try to feed themselves, evade predators or harmful situations, that sort of thing), so I sort of hesitate to call it its own element until I can think it over some more.

cool, i was just wondering! the element stuff sometimes makes me think of pokemon *shot*. but they did have a lot of elements, lightening, darkness, light, metal, and i feel that some of these could be cool as element-items that you make!

i think it would be right up your 'elemental' alley! steel...would be metal of some sort, instead of a rock...or maybe a grayish or bronze rock would work... ice would be a lot like water, obviously, maybe more transparent though? hmm...

for dragon, maybe get a "scaly" looking something....flying would have to be a feather or a feather charm or even a wing charm...ghosts would be as transparent as possible, or a smoky gray/white. hows that for an idea?
