This guy is my most favorite game character, besides PacMan ever! My gaming skills stopped after ATARI. I did however do Sub Zero's finishing move the first time I played Mortal Combat, shortly after it came out. I was then the coolest older sister ever, according to my little brother and his friends. I didn't deserve that title though, I had no idea how I did the finishing move. I just did. The kid I played was this ultimate gamer kid and when I - the girl who couldn't get past the 3rd level of the first Super Mario Bros, crushed this kid with Sub Zero. Apparently his finishing move, at one time was the most difficult one to do? So no one ever chose - the little frozen guy, as I called him because I couldn't remember his name for the life of me - in those days, video games were for boys. I was a tomboy as they were called then, but I was more of an outdoors kid, so the gamer stereotype didn't bother me too much. Most boys, unlike my brothers friends who thought I was the shit, were to proud to admit I was better at pretty much everything then they were and so, I wasn't allowed to play with a system anywhere. Even the adults wouldn't let me play, but that was the whole stereotype thing. OIY!
COS play wasn't anything a little girls did. oh my, never! I envy the generations following my own! I was born at the wrong time. Twice. I would have loved the swing kids era and now this one where I've missed my time for COS play as well.
The memories one picture can evoke, eh? Thank you.
