Description hey all...

**edit version 4.0 lol alright i didn't really care for the yellow moon glow and i darkened the sky alittle more as well as added one last window glow in the bg.... i think i just may call this one the final one cause it starting to get to the point everything i do makes it look worse and i don't mean on the ones that i post but i do understand that sometimes you have to mess around until you get the one you "feel" right with... this version is just about it i think that other than changing the moon glow to where it wasn't soo spread out i really like the out come... thanks for all of your help ~BlondTheColorist

I doubt it, but it's good to know female super-heroines are considered with such dignity these days. Some might have drawn them as fetishistic fantasy.

Cool... by the way S.D is 'some dude'

When you gonna learn to use cuts eh? I wanna see some cuts (not self harming, in photoshop please!)

cuts what you talking about?

Cut and brush (using harder edges to define shadowed areas and depth)! You mainly adopt the brush technique, similar approach as Nei... I use more cuts now, but its dependent on the lineart.

ahhhh now i think i know what you talking about, when she uses is hard brush or hard eraser define the shadows and such? well i was actually going to do on this on this one like in the yellowish part of the cape but i honestly just wanted to finish it cause of all the projects that i have been asked to color but now i have to play the waiting game... gave them my rates and now i waiting (famous waiting game)

I just wrote a very long winded crit in a note about this very thing and then my net froze up and i lost it. Stupid interweb. I personally have some issues with keeping my work too "soft" and avoiding those hard brush stokes. its something i have been working on this past week or so.

Since i don't need to repeat what people with far more knowhow than myself already said i will just add that i really like this piece. the coloring is nice, the color choices are very pleasing and you picked an excellent piece to color. Look forward to seeing more!

interweb huh? wtf is that hahah j/k anyways thanks for the comment....

most people that know me know i have to respond to everything whether i agree or disagree now with being said yes i do agree we all have issues with trying to keep our work from coming wither too soft or too hard edged but then i think you cross over to an entirely different subject and that is style. now with style i really truly think is comes down to personal perference of the artist doing the piece but i think one can have a mix of both. i think what simon is saying or pointing out is the use of harder edged for my shadows. an artist that all 3 of us watch here and livestream uses this to amost perfection and that is nei. i just replied to si telling him like i will tell you i actually have been trying to incorperate the same technique too but i just can't seem to get confirtable with it yet and it just looks off right now but i do know it will become part of my style cause i really like the way/style nei colors and one of the best way to learn is to try and duplicate or copy if you will your favorite's style like nei (haha that harder than it sounds)

for me personally find it funny how alot of us that are in the same mental part of coloring are all trying the same thing at the same time and all i can say is practice practice time and effort that is all it is right now it is a blockage for me and i know it just mental but i will get through it maybe i will post my next piece with cuts reguardless if i like it or not just for feed back....

tahnsk again for the comment and i glad you liked the piece!!! i appreciate it

I totally hear that. I mean when i look at her work its like insta drool but at the same time ya know i dont want to be a clone i want to make it mine but at the same time i want the same impact or feel hers and some others have. For me i am trying really hard to learn that the eyes and the mind are lazy LoL and that what seems to me at 200% zoom to be an ugly fucking white line, in print or on DA will look to the eyes of the viewer like a sweet latex reflection stretched across a super hero boob. Or something like that.

what i wish is that i could freeze time, or real life for a few hours everyday so that i could friggin draw without interruption or guilt about what else i'm not getting done. no matter how much i practice i feel like it isn't enough. just never enough time.

Anyways happy drawing and ill be out here watching whenever i happen to take a break and look up from my tablet that is... haha

remember if you color at 200% to zoom in and out... i personally used to have a hard time cause i used to color at 300-400% and then when i go back to 100% it would look like shit or i would miss something... also print size is kinda like looking at 35%. now as in trying to copy your favorite's style i just meant as a learning excerise cause we all have our own specific style and i think that we need individualaty haha that speeled wrong anyways thats why we have our own favorite artist.... learn nuggets from each and everyone of them that oyu can and then apply it to your style...

haha be careful cause i actually talk to my tablet...
