Description Recently, two American teenage girls were expelled from their Lutheran highschool for allegedly being lovers. The court said that the school was justified because they were a private school and thus could make their own rules without the government getting involved.

About a month ago, several Afgani teenage girls were sprayed with acid on their way to school by extremist groups that believe that women should not be educated.

Why can't innocent young women be treated with the respect they deserve? Why must extremists hold on to their prejudices and "traditional values" simply to make these young women and others like them feel like they don't belong? When will the madness stop?

I don't agree with acid being thrown on the girls, however, since the highschool was Lutheran and Lutherans don't believe that homosexuality is natural, it was right to punish the girls....however, I think expelling them was a bit extreme.

Nice picture by the way. I like the composition and colors.

The thing is, there was no proof that these girls were dating. They were expelled based on a rumor other kids spread. If they were punished for making out in the hallway, that would make more sense.

Ah, I see. Then that's very unjust of the school to punish them based on a rumor.

That is a sad truth that sits in many places of our world. Even after more right being given the 20th Century, there is still so much pain and suffering among girls and women...

This picture is quite pretty, though. I love how used the contrast between black, and white and red and blue. It's so powerful and seems to bring across, not just the message, but the pain behind that message as well.

Wonderfully done. ^^
