Correct, I didn't modify this photo. It was just a bird close enough that the lens didn't focus at infinity, and so there is still a nice background bokeh.

Thanks! This is my favorite and most lucky capture ever. The lizard fight shots were a very rare thing to witness, but those were easy to take once I spotted the lizards. However, this shot was near impossible to get.

How did I get the shot? I was out on the pontoon boat with my family and I noticed some Osprey nesting on a sign post in the river. As we passed the post one of them took off and I started snapping photos. A lot of them were out of focus because of the difficulty of shooting from a boat, but I managed to nail this one.

I was thinking about this shot just now, because someone had previously misinterpreted the background as some sort of illustration or painting. For the record, this is 100% photograph. The 70-200mm F2.8L just produces an incredible bokeh under the right conditions. The bird was probably less than 100ft away, with the clouds being at infinity, and it just worked out perfectly.
