I really like this photo...the lighting is perfect and the colors are very vivid.
Did you try cropping it closer to the skinks? Does it still have the same quality if you cropped it to around their heads or something? Just a suggestion.

It's possible since I shot this with my razor sharp 70-200mm Canon lens, but it will definitely be limited since it was shot on my 8MP 30D. I definitely don't think I could crop all the way in to their heads and be left with many pixels.
