nope we have to think about it if i was a pokemon trainer i would wait till my enemy used dig then send out a water type pokemon so it can use watergun to fill all the holes dig created with then send out my fish pokemon to rain havok all over the field

but pokemon just has no logic, because if you fight at sea your pokemon have nowhere to stand but that doesn't seem to be a problem. x'P

if your on a boat your at sea and your pokemon have some were to stand so that injured your argument now lets sea if your surfing on your pokemon who knows maybe all pokemon know how to swim and just battle while doing it or maybe they have a power to walk on water when threatened or fighting. another explanation is a pokemon uses a force field move to create footing for the pokemon
