nothings safe upon the road
no corner you can hide
the mist lives by no moral code
or law does it abide

it drives insane the normal ones
turns kids to cannibals
the purest souls will come undone
their thoughts so pliable

there’s something in the darkness
when the clouds hang low
what lies within is ageless
it comes from long ago

the brightest light won’t penetrate
just lock you deep inside
and hook you just like fishing bait
its confusion will misguide

it seers your flesh right from you
leaves nothing but the bone
living from the terror it drew
