I wish I had done this sooner!Back before I even saw "Inside Out", I think in her own way, Sadness was there in that scene with Francoeur.
The very feeling who made you sympathize with the giant, black-clad flea who's been misunderstood by all of Paris.
You wouldn't have felt the same for him if you felt anything but a sadness, or empathy, or compassion.
Note: Sadness isn't gesturing her hand towards Francoeur to point to him, I really just drew her that way to look like an opera soprano's pose.
