In a way, I consider "Corpse Bride" an honorary Laika movie, and it has a very special place in my heart as a story about love and selflessness

Commentary: I have the wedding ring as a symbol of being the force that brings Victor and Emily together. No seriously, the movie would never had happened if it weren't for Victor mistakenly putting the ring on Emily's finger. This is a story of their unwitting marriage together, how Victor made the Corpse Bride's dreams come true all in one night.

What's more, I love how this piece turned out. If all my previous gouache pieces taught me anything, pure white doesn't work because it only comes up as off-white. ...that, and to always outline your white parts.
