is he in a dream, or sees something (structure, ...?) within life?
i hope it's okay to "interpret" it (this way).
he also seems kind of afraid?

the colors are somehow too bright and take away the power of the picture

The photo is actually a little brighter than the original...I took the shot with daylighting, I'm reshooting the image with studio lighting to try to capture a more accurate representation. I'll be switching out the posted image.

Where do the pipes come from?
The colors for this piece are really interesting.
The warmth of the pipes and scene surrounding the man as opposed to his pale skin and cooler top...
And his eye color fits in with everything.
I love this piece very much...
How long did it take you??

Thanks Rae...glad that you like it....I'm not sure if he knows where the pipes came from...
I started this piece early January....I've been working on it a little bit at a time along with another piece.

Ohhh....
Is there anyone I can ask who may know?
What was he doing there, anyway?

Your pieces, though sometimes eerie, have a way of echoing long after they're not on my computer screen...I don't really know why...
Any ideas?
How much time do you spend on your pieces daily??

He may have been looking for his vacuum.
I'm pleased to hear that my images linger after viewing....don't be alarmed, most images go away after a short time, if not contact your doctor.
I usually work on pieces for a few hours a few days a week.
