Good afternoon, everyone! Is the day treating you well? I pray it that it is so! I have a lot planned this weekend so I'm super excited.

"As the Raven Flies" features Odin! Okay, so He's a day late (Mr. Wednesday, I am obsessed with American Gods now but this Odin doesn't look anything like the modern incarnation. As per the rules of the model release (I used someone else's likeness to create him. Here is a link to the stock account: skydancer-stock.deviantart.com… ) Also pictured are Odin's Ravens known as Huginn and Muninn (Thought and Memory, again, thank you Brandi Pearson!) I used another pose from (tasastock.deviantart.com/ listed as per their rules) for a few references for the Ravens.

Thanks to Brandi's professional consultation on textures, I was able to try a few new things with this one including a neat water effect texture. Thank you, Brandi, I really appreciate it. He's dedicated to you, by the way because you are a fabulous, hard working individual and we are all better to have you in our community. I really mean that, my friend. May your dreams be filled with baby musk ox! (Wanna get in on that joke? Seriously, Googlepedia baby musk oxen. They are the cutest things.)

While talking to Brandi, I also added splashes of red to represent His warlike nature but also went a bit whimsical due to His glaring sense of humor. What? Don't believe me? Photoshop decided to shut down 3 times while making this and then when I thought I lost my work, it magickally appears unharmed. If anyone's worked with Photoshop you know if it crashes it's basically a crapshoot to get that information back. Well, I'm off to visit a friend!
