This one's a quicky, but I could not resist. I give you actual in-game dialogue from Final Fantasy XII:"miffed moogle:
I was trying to find gurdy's weakness and bargain her down... I didn't count on her finding mine, Kupo!
Kupo... How Embarassing!"
As usual, Gurdy looks absolutely vacant.

I haven't gotten too far in FFXII yet, but it's a fun game and the moogles are too cute already. You definitely got that cuteness to come out loud and clear.

For stuff like this, I cel in the colors, throw basic shadow patterns on with darker airbrushes, and throw basic white highlights on (both of those are around 20-30% opacities.) Then, I'll do the fur texturing with burn and dodge with textured brushes. Sometimes I'll do an airbrush burn/dodge either before or after to get a more extreme look. Then I just threw a stock texture on the other stuff, and that's all she wrote!

I know now! They're called: "Pompoms" X3
A little cut-out from the journal:
"Moogles hate having their pompoms ruffled (Don't we all?), but the pompom rufflers just keep coming in droves. Maybe that's why the moogles use holograms to run their shops now, while they kick back at home."

Ha, i find SKiPP100's comment pretty funny. Especially seeing his own art style. Comments like that are pretty sad on it's own as well. If you got nothing nice to say or anything constructive to help the artist then ether fav it or not and just leave it be.
As for myself, i do like it. Besides, you can't go wrong with FFTA/FFXII Moogles. You just can't

Well, the artwork and design in FFXII leans a bit more towards the original Moogles in a few a few aspects and got slightly smaller boots thus feet (important differences!). Nice to sees some good stuff off of you of late though
I hope to get some of it in myself. got 3 ready for scanning so i can breach my own silent spell on tickling images.
