HiProbably no one cares
But I have an actual reason for choosing this name, and not just ‘I wanted a change’, though that’s true too
I just felt like my old name was a little too negative. I think I’ve greatly improved as an artist, and I’ve started viewing myself a little differently.
This time last year, I was severely depressed and probably on the brink of killing myself. But something changed, and I found reasons to live again. However, my negativity surrounding myself, my drawings, and my writing still remains.
I want to get rid of that. I am a good writer, and while I’m certainly not the best artist, I think I’ve come a long way from last year. I want to improve even more, and while this sounds cheesy and a little stupid, positivity is the way to success. I can’t change my natural pessimism, but I can choose to see certain things in a better light, and I am.
And mostly, I’m slowly learning to like myself again. Scars, flaws, and everything. I’m not confident, I’m not very smart, I’m terrified of the future, but I’m starting to accept that, and beginning to move forward. I’m starting to come to grips with who I am. It took me a really long time, but I’m finally getting on the road to becoming who I can be, not just who I am right now.
And I like that. I’m learning to like the girl I am in real life, I like the persona I’ve developed for myself on the internet, I like the future versions of me that could be any mix of both. I really, truly, like what I do.
Really, truly, Rush.

After all, you are one of the most passionate artists I've known on this platform. Thank you actually! This was something I really needed to hear right now. Happiness is a choice and I’m REALLY glad you're making that decision for yourself! You seem to be in a much better place than you were even like two months ago when you were making those vent things (thanks for that too btw I ended up making one as well and it taught me that being real with people on this site helps them know more about who you are and that's why I have all these friendships now it’s really cool) You *are* really talented and I hope by this time next year I’ve improved to this point as well! I’m just really proud of you learning to love yourself bc you're worthy of love and ilysm

I feel really emotional right now, I always told people who has been always so hard on themselves 'you need to accept and love yourself in order to be succesfull.' and you seem to be the only one who actually knows the importance of this sentence. It's also great that you know exactly what you can and can't do, really proud of how far you became both mentally and as an artist/writer.
