For us Fae, the title brings a mixture of emotions. Awe and fear, jealousy and hate, love and admiration...the Imperials are the embodiment of everything we both loathe and adore.

'What are Imperials?' you must be asking.

The answer, is both simple and complex. For you, a human, the term I shall use is one common amongst your race, and often misused. You would call them 'dragons'.

While it is true, their appearance matches your kind's requirements for a 'dragon', I must insist it is wrong.

They are not mindless beasts that ravaged villages and demolished castles.

They are not the benign beings that blessed and watched over your rulers in ancient times.

They are Imperials.

And their story is what I will tell you, if you are willing to listen...
