Momentum: Cannonbolt has difficulty braking or controlling his direction if he accelerates too much.
Clumsy bipedal form: Cannonbolt's bipedal form is very heavy, making him very unbalanced and slow, plus his large body makes it difficult for him to move in tight spaces.
Slippery surfaces: Cannonbolt cannot spin on surfaces such as ice, sand or those containing strong adhesives, likewise, he can be pinned in place by beings with greater strength than himself.

Spherical Transformation: Cannonbolt can curl into a sphere, which allows him to move at high speeds thanks to the friction-reducing chemicals in his exoplates, as well as increase his rotational momentum to hit or roll over his enemies. He can also bounce off surfaces with little loss of momentum. Cannonbolt can accommodate people and fairly large objects within his spherical form and provide them with the same level of protection as himself.

Increased Durability: Cannonbolt's protective exoplates have incredible durability, being able to withstand strong impacts, low temperatures, laser beams, acid and even twice the heat of re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere, being almost invulnerable.

Increased Strength: Cannonbolt is capable of lifting objects much heavier than himself and being able to fight with enemies of his size.

Sharp claws: The claws on Cannonbolt's hands and feet are so sharp that they can cut through concrete.
