Just uploadin a coupla pages from the recent Gaia Online manga we've been working on. If you feel like giving lots of critique, please do; I'm still learning a lot of this stuff and I haven't gotten a lot of feedback on it yet.Gaia's comics in the past have been done by usually a four or five man team, six with the writer. Someone would do layouts, someone else character inks, someone else (sometimes more than one) backgrounds, and someone else tones and final effects. Usually someone doubled to do flats, bubbles and sound effects. This chapter it was just me and the writer, and a couple people to help with flats. I've done the panel layouts on the chapters I've worked on in the past but I've never had to do all the bgs and screentones too X( And I'm still learning screentoning especially so I'm sure I'm overtoning everything. Uuuh, the only thing I (which you should not listen to because I suck) is that in the last panel, his face looks a little plastic-y smooth, unlike the panel above it where his face has some shadows and whatNOT : D

Lolyeah, gratuitous tones are gratuitous. That was actually what really stuck out to me when I first saw this page, I'm glad you realize you're doing it. Especially the floor shading in the second-to-last panel, that's just awkward. Well, live and learn, lol.
Great job otherwise though. Nicolae's face in everything just keeps being amazing. Those expressions. Lol.

haha, Nicolae's face. He looks so proud. Now, whether it's of his shot or the fact that he knew it would piss off whats-his-face, the world may never know.
y'know, back when this huge story arc started with the airships and stuff, one of my first reactions was "HOLY SHIT NICOLAE SCREENTIME, YEEEESSSS!!!"

I think the the comics are coming out great to be honest! It's nice to see some story on gaia with actual weight behind it.. Also I think the toning is quite gorgeous so kudos on that 8D I'm sure it's one of those things you'll figure out how to tweak as you go along but really I can't pick anything out that looks out of place as far as construction goes.
(also this page makes me lul so hard)

Personally, for this chapter at least, I love the 'overtone'. I feel it kinda works with the whole storyline for now.
