My grip on her weakened by the second, our fingers intertwined in a strong yet debilitated to last twist. As each moment zoomed by, she decreased inches away from me, those big blue eyes getting smaller and smaller.

But I had just found her, she can't leave so quickly! A stiff look crossed my face as I held onto her dainty hand with my life. I can't loose her again..

I took in a breath, huffing as I shouted above the instense sound of fierce wind whipping past my ears, "I'll come back to you!" Despair emotion rose in my chest, "I promise!"

Teary blue eyes gazed at me, like an ocean. I could just see the waves elegantly swaying to their own life, with no worries. It made me want to plunge in them, take a swim, and sleep softly under the warm sun of relaxation.

With a slight smile, I felt our hands come to the edge of our fingertips, feeling the last essence of each other. Through plush, parted lips, she shouted back to me, her heart speaking instead of herself.

"I know you will!"

And just like that, our hands gave way, and slowly and painfully, one of my best friends ever disappeared into the darkness.
