Description
What's with all this drawing my characters as children lately? I dunno.Started out as a painting for a friend but I couldn't quite match his idea. So thanks ~kamigohan for the inspiration.
Violet might have broken the sky. Whoops.

This reminds me of the classic painting of that woman out on the great plains, sitting in the grass with her back to the viewer, reaching toward a farm house.
But I think I like your picture better. It's more dynamic and the atmosphere works better for the scope of the picture. The way you incorporated the rain by making it bounce off of Violet's hair does wonders for the mood. Nice work.

The piece is Christina's World and it was created by Wyeth. It's rather iconic, so first glance at yours illustrated a world of similarities, but as I said before, I really like the differences and prefer yours.

Wow. How strange that I've never seen that before. That looks like a painting that my high school art teacher would have loved dissecting, heh.
