My mare, Dixie.Free for use as stock or reference image.
STOCK RULES:
1. For use on DA only; do not post on any other website.
2. Credit me with a link back in the artist's comments.
3. Comment or note me when you use my stock so that I can admire you work - I'll probably fave it too.
4. May not be used for hate art, art depicting cruelty to animals, or anything that violates the DA user policy. If you break this rule, I will ask you to remove the piece.
5. Be creative. Please do more than just change the color.
6. May be used for prints, commissions, contests, etc; - no need to ask.

But I don't have her or any horses anymore...these are all really old photos - at least 6 years old, which explains the bad quality, lol. Dixie passed away a few years ago when she was about 26. But she was such a great horse.
I decided I needed some ref photos of her since I want to paint her portrait for my dad for Christmas, so I figure someone else might like them too.

XD Our pasture was like the old folks home for horses, lol. There was a shetland pony in his mid-40s (not sure if he's still alive or not) and there was a QH paint gelding who lived to be in his late-30s (he was finally put to sleep while we boarded there). They were amazing horses and they had such great lives, even being that old.
And thanks hun. This is one of my favorite shots of her.
