Voila! A cheeseburger fit for a king...of cake

Here we have vanilla sponge buns and a chocolate cake burger. The buns have been coated in white chocolate ganache (tinted with brown), and the burger with dark chocolate ganache mixed with fine chocolate cake crumbs (from the trimmings) to achieve the 'minced meat' texture of a burger. There's a little vanilla buttercream holding the burger on too.

The tomatoes, lettuce and cheese are all rolled out and cut fondant icing - for the lettuce, I used a leaf plunger cutter for a better salad effect (sadly, not that noticeable!). The ketchup and mustard are piping icing that I've coloured red and yellow, messily squirted over the filling Oh, and the only thing true to an actual burger are the real sesame seeds on the top!
