he gap.the silliest thing you can do in your life, is not be happy with yourself. this was the case for me a few years back, where I decided to fix the thing that made me "unique". I completely got rid of my gap, due to insecurity's and wanting to be perfect.
I didn't realize in the future I'd completely regret it. Why? Because I now miss the thing that made me unique, the gap that God intended for me to have in my teeth. He made me a certain way, and I wasn't happy with it. And now I regret changing it.
It's obviously tough being a girl, trying to live up to all the beautiful people, and just wanting to fit in. But don't change a permanent thing about yourself, God made you that way. He loves you that way, and so do I.
Due to loosing my retainer, my gap is coming back. It will never be the way it was before, but it's there a little.
No matter how stupid I look in this photo, it's ok. It's just a message to show you to be happy with yourself the way God made you.
And the glitter? That was just because I can.

I think in a world where you can be rejected for not being like everyone else and where you can be judged superficially just for your appearance, confidence in yourself can be lost easily. Nice to know that you've already recovered it. You're beautiful and talented and also got a gap. There's only one Rebekah Kauffman. Don't try to change her for someone else.

i really like this portrait and the accompanying thing you wrote. i think this photograph is a beautiful representation of that.
personally i think it's our flaws that make us beautiful and who we are. it's those things that either annoy us beyond belief with other people or the things we find that we cannot live without. we strive to be better and join together because of our flaws.
