Description Sizes are far from being to scale.
I realized I'd drawn the entire main crew of the Deathhorn, other than the mechanic(Ralcom) and the pilot(Amellia) They're husband and wife. As you can tell, their hair is starting to go gray. They're Hirsuit Humans, which is basically humans who grow hair all over their bodies. In this part of the galaxy, the entire race is that way. They're a darker complexion than Cleanface Humans (Krys's race.) They also have a more Asian look to their eyes and tend to be on the short side compared to Cleanfaces.
The other critter is a Gorkam, which i've drawn before, but I wanted to draw another. The other creature is a razor bird. They're the mounts for the Lazakal and they're not something you want to tangle with since they're a large predator.

Ah! Found the Hirsuit humans. I really like the idea of furry humans. Wait, are cleanfaces basically like we are? Onward to answers!

Also, I do not want to get into scary mount birds space. Are they good for "guard dogs" as well as mounts?

Thanks! I based them off people who have werewolf syndrome, which is a real genetic condition that causes them to grow hair everywhere.
Cleanface are loosely based of Neanderthals. They tend to be a bit thicker in build than Earth or Hirsuit Humans and they almost alway have red or blond hair and green or blue eyes.

Probably. The race that rides them is very nomadic due to having to migrate around the world. (The days are about four or five Earth years long.)

You really love to do pictures like this. Is it because of the comparisons that you find it so fun?

Mostly, I like to be able to see my characters and species drawn out. I can't visualize them perfectly in my head, so I draw them, then I have a better idea of what they'd look like when I describe them.

Ah, yeah, it is funny how fuzzy they can be in your head.

It is. It also helps drawing them because I can figure out if there's something that doesn't work.

Thanks. Be glad the guys who ride those things are pacifists, or nearly so. The razor birds would be a terrifying mount in battle.

Neato. Nice detailing on the two heads on the left.
