My head whirled around, brown paw had come whizzing at my head, pounding my cheek with a force I'd never felt. I staggered backwards as the leopardess gained on me. I was petrified, I didn't know what was going on. NO, NO NO NO! NO! I can't have the same fate as Faolan! Somebody! Help! I wanted to scream, I wanted to scream for Luna, for Hinode, for Kindle, for Maxine, Sorin, Frida, Zihark...but no air escaped my lungs. Blue eyes stared at me, I felt like I was drowning in them, their cold gaze morphing into water and rushing over me, filling every crevice in my body until there was only water. I wanted to scream, cry, do anything to get someone to come help me, but there was nothing. All I heard was her snarling and growling, claws scraping against me, against her armor, my claws were useless. And in that moment, I realized something.
I wasn't going to get home.
