She lives in Philly (about to relocate to LA though).

As far as I know, she isn't on DA.

But here is a link to here buzznet page:

And if you happen to be on Model Mayhem, she is #10101

I love the look. I need to ask, what do you use for lighting? Is this just a flash? Or a lighting rig?

Thanks!

I do have a full on AlienBees studio light kit, but I didn't have it with me that day. I just used my Canon 580EX II flash as a single light source. But I didn't use it on camera. I have a Paul C. Buff wireless system so I mounted it on my tripod and set it off to the left and back a little further than I was standing.

Nice. Arent those wireless flash systems quite expensive? I have a flash cord, doesnt go very far though, which is a bummer when I want some good angled lighting

Yeah, I have a flash cord too. I do use that at events a lot.
Most wireless systems are crazy expensive. Like those PocketWizards....sooooo overpriced for a simple wireless transmitter that probably costs $2 to make. But the ones that Paul C. Buff recently came out with are very reasonable (and smaller!). The transmitter that goes on your camera hotshoe is only $59, and the wireless receivers are like $89 (they come in a battery powered option or one that plugs into AC power, I got one of each). That's the cheapest wireless I've found and it works perfect! I love all things Paul C. Buff. If you want to check 'em out, here's the a link: [link]
The only lame thing about it is you can't use the ETTL feature of the flash. So, it forced me to learn how to use the confusing flash manually. But I guess thats a good thing in the long run!

Thats useful, thanks. I recently got a new lens, and the autofocus on it is really slow. Has taught me to use manual. Again Im sure it will benefit in the long run, I just need to get used to it.

Thanks for the tips. I'll definetly invest in one of those bad boys soon enough

Right on. You're very welcome!
Yeah, being good at the manual focus will totally be a valuable asset to have for sure!
