Rob does the same, it's like he's afraid of being connected with me if the people i'm taking the photos of aren't happy. I don't usually follow people, but i smile at them a lot. Because i'm not quite 5' tall i think i look non-threatening and i get a lot of smiles back and they don't seem to mind having their photos taken.

I'm not such an adept of telelenses, but have to admit that sometimes it gives interesting results... like here

oh it's not a telelens... i was just really close. That bridge bordered the road and i leant out the window to get the photo as we drove by.

technique? sometimes they aren't any good, but with a digital camera you can afford to take that chance!
