Gorilla Grodd was a test subject of S.T.A.R.Labs, on which military experiments were conducted to increase intelligence. During the experiments, Grodd gained intelligence many times higher than human, thanks to which he was able to escape from the laboratory and create a weapon for himself in the form of a high-tech helmet, which endowed him with telepathic abilities. Feeling contempt for humans, he intends to create a new world in which advanced primates will rule, but Flash gets in his way, to whom Grodd now wants revenge.
