You may already know of this, but I found the line tool in most programs super useful, as well as copy and paste, resize, but mostly the line tool especially if there is a curved line (or path) tool. Most of my works from 2 years ago were made with heavy use of that tool.

path tools? not heard of them. my main issues is proportions and actually getting the sketch done so I can start finishing a drawing

What programs do you use?

Microsoft paint. paint.net and DA muro since I need different ones for different tools. but I cant find one yet that does rounded triangles which would help

Paint can kinda do that with its line tool its the curvy line just use that then pull on the line for curves. GIMP is good too for it.

yeah iv been doing that but after a load of lines I get some that aren't connected and the overall thing doesn't look to good either. my main issue is scale and orientation. eg a struggled to even do a face on shot of the character in this icon I have. I just made the eyes and mouth look ridiculous and don't get me started on getting the hair and other bits.

I know the feeling scale is still an issue for me too. Also I'd love to see some of your non-submitted work via st.ash sometime if you're willing

maybe. I hate to admit it but that WIP I haven't touched for ages in my gallery is still one of the best I have done as the scale is very good to what im actually trying to draw. sta.sh/0vqy5c65fxk is probably the best background WIP I have done up to now too so im trying but I don't really like to show my numerous failed practices

which? the background? I still think I need to do a lot to it. the base of the columns and in between the pillars especially
