There are a couple, but you really have to look.
Of course, there is the official comic book for the series, so maybe I should rephrase. There are lots, but from very few artists.
I have no idea why. They are sort of under-appreciated, aren't they?

Wow, sorry it has taken me so long to respond. It's been a while since I've visited DA.
You're right, that observation is very insightful of you. Especially in the early books, they are sort of "rough around the edges" as part of their charm, aren't they?  I guess the skechiness could reflect that, though conveying that aspect of them was not really intentional on my part. Guess I lucked into that one, didn't I? Lol

Lol! It's a compliment you'd say so but... ah geez. That would be difficult for me as I'm not all that fond of Adam's pack.  Eh, wait. Actually I take that back. His pack is okay and fairly diverse. It's Adam and Mercy who don't really interest me, but still.... I should probably not piss off the people who do enjoy them.

Though, I have to admit, the driving force behind this picture was mostly my desire to draw Anna, because my visual of her was so different than the book covers. (Which I adore, but respectfully disagree with.)

Thank you! Lol I'm running out of ways to say "I'm glad you liked it" but really, the sensation I get from someone telling me they enjoyed my visual of Briggs' characters is not fading at all. It's absolutely lovely to see how many people's  imaginations mesh with mine. It gives me the feeling of having been faithful to the story. Thanks again!

I love paying attention to detail and it's really great when people notice.
Same here about the Mercy series. I mean, it's nice and I like Mercy/Adam, but for some reason it's the side characters who really catch my interest. Charles, Warren, Sam... Oh man, Sam. I will just die happy if Patricia someday writes a spin off so we can see how things turn out with Sam and Ariana.

Ha, you got it in two! I actually wanted to be an illustrator until I realized that most of the time you get hired to do the covers of books you've never read, with sometimes inadequate descriptions, a brutal deadline, and no contact with the author.
Seriously, it makes no sense to me. They tell you never to judge a book by it's cover, but everybody does. You'd think they'd want the cover to accurately portray what's actually in the book! Gah!

Huu well this explains a lot! See I bought a book a few months ago ONLY based on the cover, wich I usually don't do I prefer reading the description & title first (wich is smarter lol). Anyway that time I was totally attracted to the cover and only later read I the description, thankfully it was my genre so voilà.
But then, man the main person in the story is black and then you see the girl on the cover pale white!! Com'on isn't that a HUGE mistake?! Oh and there is no mistaking possible cause there is only one person playing music in the story and on that cover! Arf if I was the author I wouldn't agree on such mistakes -_-
Other then that the story wasn't that bad ...ok let's be honest I only kept it for the cover LOL (stil story not bad at all XD)
All of that to say: people do look at the cover!! I totally agree with you too!

No, I have to wait till Fair Game comes out in paperback before I can pick it up.
Yes I agree, a story within the pack would be pretty cool (A&O being a great resource for everything wolf-y). Although, such a story wold need to be fairly grand to involve Bran's pack.
Think about it, Briggs' books are romances driven by mystery ("why is there a rogue so close?", "Who created Mac?", "What is Marcilia planning?" etc.), if you don't have a mystery...
So a mystery within Bran's pack would probably need to be something heavy-duty that would effect everything.
What do you think?

Oh yeah, you said it.
Though, with all the unrest currently going on in her supernatural world (I'd say more but I don't want to spoil anything in Fair Game for you) I could actually see something as big as an upset in Bran's pack actually happening. Plus, he takes on all those trouble-cases where Anna's gift would probably be really useful.
I'll just keep my fingers crossed.
