Yep....Its time for me to share another page from my run on Go Boy 7, plus I thought I would give a mini update here instead of doing a new journal entry.This page here was probably my favourite out of the ones I coloured myself. Jett girl was always fun to draw. here she takes down an enemies plane with her wrist rockets. The key to Jett girl was her purple details. Purple lips, purple eyes, and so naturally the smoke trail from her rocket was purple too.
For those who don't know, Go Boy 7 was a comic book series from Darkhorse comics which I penciled and I also coloured 6 pages out of the 160 or so pages I did for this series. I think I even inked 1 too. heh.
mini update:
- Been working on some character designs for Disney which has been fun. Can't say much more than that.
- Making good progress on my new comic book project. More on this later (don't hold your breath though)
- Seed and I have picked our next Chibi, and its gonna be a wierd one to say the least! Designer of the character we have chosen has not been contacted yet, so it could be yours!

Your style just reminds me alot of Ramos from the impusle comics.
But your alot better i think. Haha...his style is a little different now that i look at it.
Oh well...That would be kick ass...XD

thanks! I love Ramos' work. I own 1 of his Impulse comics, as I really got "into" his art when he was on OUT THERE. I think thats when he truly found himself. Crimson was great, but it didnt flow the way out there did. His new work on Revelations is also amazing

hey hey! this page rocks man, sweet as.
i can't quite tell what's going on, it looks like she's taking down two planes...but that's cos it's only one page and i can't see any other dialogue.

heh....Basically there is a fight scene taking place. Jett Girl and Jonny Zero (AKA Go Boy 7) are battling it out against some goons and their transport plane. On this page Jett girl is being fired upon, and so she fires 2 rockets back at the plane, which is enough to take it down. At the bottom we see one of the goons who has a remote control to an electro magnetic pulse bomb.
He is about to detonate it in a last ditch effort to really screw things up....

Onto the picture, god i wish i can do comics, but I have the literacy and drawing ability of a giraffe with butter fingers who happened to stay up all week without sleep. Ah, and I understand colour and lighting like a dog gone blind X'D yea.
Basically, you're amazing XDXD but you still suck for not drawing Bass XDXD

Well, if I actually sat there and worked form start to finish, I could probably do a full page coloured n penciled in 2 1/2 days....I'm much much quicker at penciling than colouring, due to my levels of experience. I pencil far more than colour.

Disney is the only real company I am working for, as my comic book stuff is creator owned. Its the comic book stuff that I really can't wait to show everyone.

Disney....Whoa nice one man! I'm actually an animator by trade, and i know some one down here that worked for them to! Really want to get into comics, but there is no real industry here! Is there a big demand for comics in Australia?

Hey Andy,
Actually there are many indy comic people in Australia who make comics of their own, at their own cost, but there is no real demand. I think you can make a living as an illustrator if your good enough, but if you want to make cash off comics, you gotta work for either the US or Europe market, and even then you need some luck on your side.

Not that many J. animation is only starting to grow here, alot of boys with talent thou! was thinking about the overseas market for comics, locally would have to start my own thing! Think you could check this out and gimme your take on it [link] submitted it jus now, took a while to ink and colour! It's B/W for a book thats going into print for Autism! Would really appreciate your words on it, get a true pro crit!
