It's been FAR too long since I've done a refined painting. I needed to practically relearn lighting and scenery again. Thankfully, this commission ended up being an excellent "warm up" for the rest on my list, as it made me do most of the things I tend to avoid when I'm doing my own work (more involved backgrounds, perspective, semi-complex lighting, fur detail).

That said, I'm stupidly proud of how this turned out, as my first fully painted commission in PaintTool SAI~
