there's a difference between characters who crossdress and characters who exclusively wear traditionally feminine clothing. if you exclusively "crossdress" then that's just dressing.

Just because someone prefers wearing clothes of the opposite gender doesn't mean they must be trans. I wish there were more transgender people in media but that doesn't mean we should force characters that canonically aren't transgender into being transgender.

Crossdressing is something you do as a hobby or for fun, not as a lifestyle. If you exclusively "crossdress", then that's just dressing.
