Dear Karma,

Despite your strive,
I'm still alive...

I can't figure out why,
My brains in overdrive,
Just trying to survive.
I'm fighting the need to cry,
and the desire to die.
This pain I can't contain.
This empty shell is all that remains.
Pleasure and pain,
seem to be one in the same.
I think I'm going insane.
Confusion sets in,
and I'm lost within.
There's something wrong that I just can't pin.
I feel it crawling under my skin.
No matter what I do, I just can't win.
I'm lost in this void,
Slowly being destroyed.
It's nothing I can seem to avoid.
My emotions are being toyed,
and I'm getting annoyed.
Round and round I go,
Waiting for things to slow.
I would jump, but I just don't know,
What kind of evil waits below,
or if I could even let go.
Hanging on the edge,
I make my final pledge.
I deny what you allege,
but your words are like a wedge,
Prying my fingers from the ledge.
Falling fast, I begin my dark descent,
As you beat me down to your heart's content.
I cry out in agony and torment,
While working to hide my discontent.
Trying to figure out what it all meant,
Was torturing me your only intent?
