My OCs for Trinidad and Tobago.

The two have been a couple since they were colonies, but have had to keep their relationship secret due to human prejudices. They both had incredibly turbulent and mixed-up childhoods. After the brutal genocides committed against their Arawak and Carib predecessors, the Europeans began to settle their islands and introduced African slaves and indentured servants from India that contributed heavily to the formation of their modern cultural identities. The two women share a deep love for music, dance, clothing, and cricket. The chaconia is their national flower not just because of its status as a symbol of their freedom but also because of the deep love between them.

Human name: Tabitha Singh
A nature-lover who spends most of her time outdoors. She knows every species of plant, animal, and mineral on the islands and often works with conservation groups or in veterinary clinics. She is the more outgoing and energetic of the two. She regards India as long-lost family due to her strong bond with her ethnically-Indian population.

Tobago (right)
Human name: Victoria "Tori" Joseph
More quiet and introspective, she prefers to spend time following artistic pursuits or reading. She's also the more mechanically-inclined and tech-savvy of the two. Whenever the car, the plumbing, or the computer break down, she's the most capable of the two to handle it. While she gets on all right with England, she will speak French around him if he gets on her nerves.
