Sonya shot out of the opening as if fired from a gun knowing that her clone probably had it zeroed in and she was right. The blast just barely missed her blowing a hole back down to the sewer. Sonya did a barrel roll turning to face her attacker as she turned as hard as she could. Another blast just barely missed her as she caught sight of her muscular clone beginning to give chase. “Kes…I need some options here!” She shouted as she finished her turn and dove back down trying to shake her tail as another blast grazed her arm leaving a light burn mark.
“We are in the only zone that doesn’t have civies we have to keep the fight here!”
Sonya rolled back so she could see her clone and fired her own blast of energy just missing. However her amazon clone juked in the wrong direction to avoid it and crashed the side of a ruined building tumbling to the ground. Sonya immediately seized the opportunity of the distraction looping in as tight an arc she could and diving toward the amazon clone as she pulled herself out of the rubble. With a ferocious warcry she smashed into her clone fist first as hard as she could driving both of them into the ground creating a small crater from the impact. The concusive force of the blow sent a concussive wave like an explosion sending smaller debirs flying and collapsing the nearby ruined wall. For a brief few seconds there was silence and then Sonya pulled herself up to her feet. Both hands were broken and she knew that the bones in her forearms were probably cracked as well. She could feel the bones in her hands beginning to mend, regeneration was not always a painless process especially while still in combat. She snapped around as she heard debirs shifting as her clone got to her feet as well. The clone knew her internal injuries were bad the blow had probably broken every rib she had and nearly collapsed her lungs. She spat out blood and wiped her mouth with a muscular arm. “I’m not down yet!”
The amazon in red shot forward at the speed of sound. Sonya managed to just barely deflect the first two punches but the third caught her right across the jaw nearly shattering it. It was followed up with an uppercut that sent her flying back smashing into a wreck car. It was Sonya’s turn to spit blood as she quickly got to her feet and grabbed the car, her impressive muscles not even straining. The red clad amazon was almost on top of Sonya when she swung the car like a baseball bat with all of her superhuman might. The car paractically disintegrated on impact but the blow did its intended job sending the amazon clone flying though a wall. Sonya was already on the move, closing the gap as her clone stood back up. Sonya quickly let loose with a roundhouse kick that whipped though the air breaking the sound barrier with a loud crack as it connected with her clone’s face smashing her nose in and spinning the clone around where she fell in a heap on the ground coughing up blood. Sonya reached down and grabbed her clone’s hair pulling her back up to her unsteady feet. She smashed blow after mighty blow into the clone’s face shattering her eye sockets.
Sonya let go and took a step back, her clone swayed back and forth and seem to have sunk in her high-heeled boots a little, her glassy bloodshot eyes rolled up in her head. Sonya snapped her foot up in to quick powerful kicks that snapped her amazon clone’s head back with a sickening crunch as her neck snapped. The lifeless muscular form collapsed as if it’s strings had been cut, Sonya took a deep breath as she carefully stepped up to the lifeless body.
“Is it just me or does this feel really creepy?” Kestrim chimed in.
Sonya rolled over the body with her toe of her boot. “Kind of but I’m use to it…travel to as many realities as I have and you run into versions of my that fell to the darkness.”
Sonya picked up the body and through it over her shoulder. “We need to get this back to the lab…if the corrupted energy works the same as non-corrupted she’ll revive in a few days if we don’t act.”
Sonya quickly took flight wondering if she would have to face any more clones in the days to come if they didn’t find where the clones were being made.
