Yay! A happy Sans again! Daw...So...I've tried my hand at two new things in this piece; the fur collar and the wings. they felt impossible :l
I must say, this is the strangest thing I've done with a character. I normally try not to alter them as much as possible, but this one was...different. I like it
Yeah, I know. I didn't give him a nose...I honestly have no idea how his nose works...I always just drew an upside-down heart
Didn't know how to add it in here, didn't care enough to try and figure it out.I don't know why it exists, but the sparkle brush is awesome.

Well, that's because their speedpaints are good. They do amazing work that no one can pass up.
My work is barely half of their quality, and that's where they get all of their popularity.
The speedpaints are just a fun little bonus if anyone really wanted to see how it was made.

I start with a sketch; something just to figure out where all the lines go and how they should look.
Then I draw in nice clean lines and get rid of the sketch for better quality.
Flat colors go in where they should (flat meaning solid, no shading).
The shading's the hardest part; I do it in a rather simple way, but it's the most time consuming step. I typically work with just black and white; if I'm working with colors (blue, green, red) I'll turn on the overlay filter, which will typically change the black or white to the color that I need. I start with putting all the shadows in, and blur it until it looks good to me. Then I move onto the highlights and do the same thing.
Once I get the character done, I'll work on some sort of background. I won't normally do anything difficult for it; I mainly just throw in a gradient and add a bit of light detail (the stars in this one). Sometimes I'll try to put one point in the piece under a spotlight of sorts, or I may just lighten or darken the whole piece (This one I darkened just a little with a flat black layer and lowered the opacity).
