Description Yeah, yeah, it's cutesy, but everyone wants to know how I do it. So for those watching who don't care for this sort of thing, very sorry.

And I know tutorials of this variety have been done, as I've seen one. I'm not trying to copy, though. Cheers.

So um ... presenting ... how to waste your time making kitschy things that'll serve no purpose later in life!

Questions on a step?

TOO BAD.

Just kidding. I'll answer any.

Happy almost Valentines day.

By far this tutorial is the best one I've looked at for star. It's the only one that didn't end up looking awkward or squished :I

I love making these stars. I had to learn from a classmate, who practicly just made one, very quickly, and then said "Now you have to make me 10 a day for 10 days"... Very nice. Wish I'd seen your tutorial instead, it's really enjoyable and funny!

I loved the heart, it was useful for the card for my friend's Valentine's Day present.

As for the star, very useful, thanks.

I love this :]
But my hearts don't ever come out square at the top, like where the curves are, my sides are always pointy :S

Oh, and also, after doing step three (heart), if you want to make a little valentine out of this, you can write a cutesy little message in the CENTER of the unfolded, larger rectangle. In the end, when you finish up the heart, the receiver of your valentine can pull away the two pieces of paper making up the center of the front of the heart to read the message.

To moon-finder: There are Morning Glory stores here in the US (at least where I am), and they have loads of kinds of origami star paper to choose from in the stationery section. ^-^

I got the heart one down pat! I made two out of some plain ol' lined notebook paper, and since you get two out of one square, I have twice the origami success. For those who use lined paper, it looks cool if you make four of the ori hearts and set them up so all of the lines make cool square-y designs. ^^

Also, three hearts make a clover leaf.

Thanks for the tutorial; I'm going to try to make ori stars soon!

My girlfriend makes awesome origami. So I am going to surprise her with this and make her a star and a heart right in front of her. Will make throwing heart and throwing star. Maybe even throw star into her milkshake! You rock! Including that curse. Very good style points for that. All I do is take pictures (mostly of unclothed ladies - do not look if you are a minor or curse men who take pictures like that, please.) Argh! My heart!!!

My girl friend's website for origami is [link] please stop by and look. She is tres talented and very nice.
