Maybe I'm imagining this but I think my time working at traditional art has helped my digital art. Hm.

ANYWAY. Obviously I don't have other things to work on and therefore I should work on some random fanart.

There isn't much to explain with this, really. I was watching Sherlock while I was sketching, and I came up with the idea to figure out what the cast might look like as dogs. So I drew Sherlock as a German Shepherd, and John as a beagle. Yay.

I don't feel like this is finished, but I could spend days more on this. And I was really only planning on quickly coloring the scanned pencil sketch.

BUT I LEARNED SOMETHING and that something is kind of how to paint in vague backgrounds. I really like the puddles in the foreground and the vague buildings in the background. And I like Sherlock a lot.

Refs were used for Sherlock and John. Just a simple Google search.

I might add a transparent version later because I'm not a huge fan of the background in general. That top left corner is rather empty. But anyway. Derpderpderp.
