Vlonda sat in the darkness alone. Hansober has been gone for a while and she was starting to get worried. While he was gone she made sure to take care of Mavi. She made sure his bed was warm, he had fresh food and water, and got lots of love. But even he seemed to be more upset sense his owner's been gone.
It also has been raining a lot sense then. The sky was dark most of the time, so everyone was inside. It got pretty noisy. She would mostly be by herself. She did help out a little from time to time, it really was the best she could do because she didn't have her own house.
She heard little paw padding down the hall. She looked up and saw Mavi walking towards her. He reached her and nuzzled her leg. She picked him up and placed him in her lap, wrapping her arms around him. He closed his eyes and rested his head on her arm with a small yawn. She looked down at him, feeling tears forming at her eyes. She tried to smile, smiling always seemed to make her feel better. It did't work.
She looked up, out the window. The rain hit the glass, then trailed down it from the pull of gravity. She rested her head on the wall, still staring up at it. Some of her hair fell gently in her face, she didn't move it. She didn't move at all. She barely breathed. Her tears trailed down her cheeks, much like the rain on the glass.
Why did it hurt this much to have him away for so long? She hasn't known him that long, but she got so close, she didn't want to loose it. She glanced down at the sleeping pup in her arms. His back rose and fell in the rhythm of his breathing. Everything was so quiet. To be honest she kind of liked the quiet. It let her think. It let her think of anything she wanted.
Right now she only thought of her missing friend. He may be lost and cold, not knowing where he is. She didn't know, but she didn't like not knowing where he is either. All she wanted was to know if he was ok.
She closed her eyes, feeling tired. She let the darkness take her as she fell asleep.
