I think her doing my hair is my christmas prezzie from her xD since I don't spend monies. but I'll be sure to post pics! is it true that mixing sugar free koolaid into your conditioner makes it last longer?

It is "true" if you use really bad dyes. If you use anything good (manic panic, raw, sfx, splat etc), all it does is distort the colour pretty badly, and make your hair feel stiff.
What you can do is buy low-sulfate shampoo/conditioner. They're not anymore expensive, but they do make colour last A LOT longer. I mean there is a huge difference. 

Take manic panic Raven (black) for example. You use 1 wash of normal shampoo, the colour is pure blue. The next wash, it's grey. Low sulfate, it'll stay black for a month.
You can get like Suave pro-keratin shampoo for $2.75 around here, which is what I use. Also their Sleek conditioner is low sulfate
